Ice Sorcerer (Honour Mode)
Final composition: White Draconic Sorcerer 12 (pure single-class). (Credits: original guide by Curar, with minor edits.)
Why this split
A lot of crowd control: AOE ice surfaces, Frozen enemies, and reduced enemy move speed. With Wet + Twinned/Quickened Ray of Frost the damage output is pretty decent. Did you know the Spell Save DC affects enemies slipping? There’s more than enough damage to pull weight even when used in a high-save-DC support role. Extremely flexible.

How Frozen Works (read once)
- Wet + Chill → Frozen: Frozen completely incapacitates the target for 2 turns and makes it vulnerable to bludgeoning, thunder and force damage.
- Apply Wet with water bottles or Create or Destroy Water; cold-damage sources (e.g. Mourning Frost) complete the freeze.
- The slip save on ice surfaces uses your Spell Save DC — even the biggest bads can’t shake a goofy slip.

Combat Pattern
- Setup: Wet the target (bottle / Create or Destroy Water), lay ice.
- CC burst: Sleet Storm / Ice Storm for the table — slips use your Spell Save DC.
- Damage: Twinned/Quickened Ray of Frost (cantrip, sorcery-point cheap) on Wet targets — vulnerability doubles it; Cone of Cold for the big burst.
- Bosses: Heightened Hold Person/Monster (+10 DC) — save it for legendary resistances to fall through.
- Sustain: Greater Invisibility to reposition; Act 3 Freecast loop removes long rests entirely.
Act-by-Act Priority
| Act | Priority | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Spell Sparkler, Wet sources, Ray of Frost economy | Functional CC from level 1 |
| 2 | Mourning Frost, Sleet Storm, Hold Person | The real build |
| 3 | Cone of Cold, Hold Monster + Heightened, Shield of Devotion / Freecast | Infinite resources, delete buttons |
Honour Mode Reminders
- ⚠️ Water is a resource — stock bottles every act; without Wet the damage identity is gone.
- Heightened Spell on Hold is the run-saver: +10 Spell Save DC beats most legendary resistances eventually.
- You’re squishy — keep distance, use Greater Invisibility windows, and let the party tank focus.
- Concentration juggling (Sleet Storm + Greater Invisibility + holds) is where runs die — pre-plan the turn.
