Emerald Grove

The Druid Grove. Trade here before triggering the goblin raid — many vendors leave or die when the Grove falls.

Arron — The Hollow — first vendor in the game

    Goblin Camp / Shattered Sanctum

    Approach via Risen Road or Underdark. Items here vanish if you assault the camp without trading first.

    Grat the Trader — near the central courtyard — Grat is a goblin; trade BEFORE assaulting the camp or he'll be dead/hostile

      Waukeen's Rest

      Risen Road — burning inn quest. Rescue Counsellor Florrick from the cellar.

      Underdark — Ebonlake Grotto

      Myconid Colony. Reach via the Goblin Camp tunnels, the Zhent hideout cellar, or the Druid Grove mountain path.

      Blurg — scholar & vendor in Sovereign Spaw's chamber

        Duergar-occupied forge. Defeat Grym (forge guardian) to safely craft adamantine gear.

        Stonemason Kith — near the main bridge

        Adamantine Forge — craft, not vendor — uses Mithral Ore + a Mould

        • Adamantine Scale Mail — AC 16+DEX (max 2). All incoming damage reduced by 1. Attackers can't crit you. Melee attackers Reeling for 2 turns on hit. Requires Scale Mail Mould.armor
        • ★★Adamantine Shield — +2 AC. Attackers Reel on miss. Shield Blow reaction knocks attacker prone. Immune to crits. Requires Shield Mould.armor

        Crèche Y'llek

        Mountain Pass githyanki crèche — accessible from Act 1 via Rosymorn Monastery path. Time-sensitive: leaving for the Shadow-Cursed Lands triggers a confrontation that locks the crèche.

        A'jak'nir Jeera — githyanki quartermaster — give items to Lae'zel for backstory buffs

          How · Same Crèche visit as the Diadem. Pick the display case (DC 15 Sleight of Hand) or smash it; grab the necklace before the Crèche turns hostile.
        • Volo's Ersatz Eye — Permanent See Invisibility (within 9m, DEX save). Only useful if you actually undergo the surgery.Volo — at camp, post-rescue · accessory · utility
          How · Rescue Volo from Spike's torture cage at the Goblin Camp. Back at camp, ask him to remove your tadpole; the operation fails and he gives you the eye as an apology. Permanently blinds your right eye.

        Trade-before-trigger checklist

        • Auntie Ethel: trade before agreeing to “help with Mayrina.” Once her quest turns hostile, her shop is gone.
        • Grove vendors (Arron, Damon, Dammon, Ethel): trade before the goblin raid or before siding against the Tieflings. Several relocate to Last Light Inn or Stormshore in later acts; some don’t return.
        • Goblin Camp (Grat, Roah, Volo): trade before assaulting the camp. Volo’s rescue is a hard prerequisite for his camp dialogue and the Ersatz Eye offer.
        • Crèche Y’llek: time-sensitive — leaving for Act 2 locks the crèche after a confrontation triggers. Pick up the Diadem and Necklace before Lae’zel’s questline forces hostility.

        Money tips (Act 1)

        • Sell unused +1 weapons and excess healing potions — keep 2–3 Greater Healing potions per character.
        • Don’t burn gold on Mage Armor scrolls; long-rest restores Mage Armor anyway.
        • Pickpocket high-stakes vendors only with Astarion + Pass Without Trace + Invisibility. Without him, just buy — gold is plentiful from Goblin Camp + Moonrise looting.
