General — Vendor & Money Notes

⭐ = priority, must-buy/grab.

Pickpocket Notes (no Astarion in party)

Without Astarion, your party isn’t built for stealing. Honour mode rules:

  • Don’t pickpocket high-stakes vendors (Roah, Helsik, Lorroakan). One failed roll = vendor hostile = lost forever.
  • Pickpocket-safe targets: generic civilians for gold, sleeping NPCs, low-CR enemies.
  • Use Greater Invisibility scroll + Pass Without Trace for any high-DC steal attempt.
  • Generally: just buy. You’ll find enough gold from looting to cover priority items.

Money tips

  • Loot every container in Goblin Camp and Moonrise — easy 5000+ gold.
  • Sell unused +1 weapons/armor — keep 1-2 of each type, dump the rest.
  • Don’t waste gold on common scrolls (Mage Armor, Mage Hand, etc.) — you can rest.
  • Sell to vendors who give the items you want next — they’ll have more gold to buy your stuff.
  • Each long rest in Act 1, hit Roah and Arron — their stocks rotate slightly.
